Deadline: March 31st For the 11th year, AAA South Jersey is sponsoring a contest to award ,500 and free, one-year basic membership to graduating high school seniors from Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties who will attend two- or four-year accredited colleges.To enter, students must submit an essay between 500 and 1,000 words that discusses the distracting features that hinder drivers’ mental focus behind the wheel and how to address them.

High school students in grades 9-12 worldwide can enter by writing an original, sourced essay up to 750 words about a modern gene therapy and its effectiveness treating a disease or medical condition.

Middle school contest winners will receive a $250 prize, while honorable mentions from grades 5-8 will receive a WWII Museum baseball cap.

The first place winner of the high school contest will be awarded $1000, while the second place and third place winners will receive $750 and $500, respectively.

Writing skills you’ve mastered in your English classes could pay off with big tuition prizes for college from scholarship essay contests.

A little online digging will unearth countless competitions created to reward students who craft an innovative, thought-provoking response to their essay prompt.Students must submit a typed, double-spaced essay up to 1,000 words with at least five sources that promotes any topic about wildlife conservation, such as forest stewardship, biodiversity, or animal ethics. Competitive applicants will present a well-written, original 800-word essay about a person in U. history who personified patriotism, honesty, compassion, virtue, and determination.Winners are honored at the Capitol by a Resolution of the State Senate.Congratulations to all of the winners and honorable mentions for the 2015 essay contest, and thank you to everyone who participated!We hope you will check back at our website in January 2015 when we announce the 2016 Essay Contest theme!This year we asked students to tell us about their personal definitions of success and how these definitions impact their mental health.
